Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries
We are a nonprofit organization formed in 1985 by thirteen local Tomball churches. The Klein family donated the building and T.E.A.M. was born. Today T.E.A.M. assists 4,000 families per year, representing over 15,000 individuals. These churches envisioned a ministry in the community that would include a resale shop, food pantry, and counseling for those in need. The organization is run by volunteers, and supported by the churches and community.
Our center operates a Food Pantry, Assistance Ministry, and a Resale Shop. In emergency situations, we assist clients with rent, utilities, medical and dental, prescriptions, eyeglasses, etc., on a very limited basis, or as resources allow. This help is provided via a voucher system directed to the provider. The clients are not given any money directly. We also distribute information on other services available from other public and private organizations, providing assistance with and referrals to such organizations.
We serve clients in the Tomball, Texas zip codes, the Tomball school district, and members of Tomball churches.
